If natural herbal extraction, is your thing, then let us introduce you to the Ziziphus (ziz-if-us) leaf. Known by locals as ber, qasil, lotus, sidr, jujube, and bidara – we’ve chosen the scientific name, Ziziphus, to encompass them all.
Our ancestors have used them for generations to treat skin ailments such as eczema. We’re so proud to be the first to create a leaf extract infused into a cream base.
Whole plant extraction means the leaf, stems, and parts of the branch are used to draw out all the properties that make this plant an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-microbial phenomenon.
Ethiopian Black Seed Oil – Said to have the highest potency of any black seed with 3%+ Thymoquinone, a natural drug. A quote from the research paper Nigella sativa L. (Black Seed): A Promising Natural Remedy for Wide Range of Illnesses states:
‘The medicinal use of black cumin seeds in various traditional herbal systems is known for a wide range of ailments which include different airway disorders, for pain such as chronic headache and back pain, diabetes, paralysis, infection, inflammation, hypertension, and digestive tract related problems administered in different kind of preparations. It has also been used topically where it is applied directly to the blisters, nasal abscesses, orchitis, eczema, and swollen joints.’

Here are a few: 1) Rich in Linoleic acid, which is a Omega-6 fatty acid that enhances creation of new skin cells and decreases inflammation. 2) Very high in Vitamin E – this antioxidant helps protect skin from environmental stressors and UV rays 3) May reduce Transepidermal water loss
Jojoba Seed Oil: One of the reasons why our cream is non-greasy is due to the Jojoba oil. The moisturizing and soothing properties of Jojoba oil are perfect for flaky, extra-dry, and chapped skin. Used by Native Americans for generations, its the perfect oil to add in an eczema cream.
Organic Glycerin: One of the best humectants for the skin! Organic glycerin? Even better. A humectant is one type of moisturizer (emollients and occlusive being the other), that draws moisture from the air to the top layer of the skin – the stratum corneum. Because glycerin is such a water-loving natural humectant, it is an excellent ingredient to include in your skin routine.
